Sam Claflin leads his soldiers into battle

IN FACE OF FEAR THEY FOUNDSTRENGTHIN EACH OTHER

March,

1918. A dugout in the trenches near Saint-Quentin, northern France. Six soldiers from a British Army infantry company have four short days left before they climb over the top and charge, hopelessly, helplessly, into the waiting, heavily armed, enemy lines. It’s obvious suicide. The men know it. They feel it in their bones. And they spend their last four days on Earth shifting between quiet contemplation, drunken rage, recrimination and eventual resignation — always undercut and underpinned by profound, and profoundly moving, brotherly love.

Saul Dibb directed the WW1 movie

The movie was shot to mark First World War Centenary!

Adrift

 SAM CLAFLIN TO STAR
You absolute adored him last year in heartbreaking Me Before You (for which he did not even get an Oscar nomination), Their Finest and in My Cousin Rachel, and this summer, in June, you will watch Sam Claflin in disaster thriller ADRIFT from director Baltasar Kormakur in which Shailene Woodley plays the female lead opposite Sam. They play avid sailors who set out on a journey across the ocean and encounter one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history.

Later this year, you will also watch lovely Sam Claflin in period set darma THE NIGHTINGALE set in 1825 Tasmania. A young convict woman seeking revenge for the murder of her family, takes an Aboriginal male outcast with her through the interior and gets much more than she bargained for.

Sam has also become a father last year!

Period Drama Forward – Love, Rosie (2014)

What a delightful “coming of age” romance drama.  Seems one that we will look back on in years to come.

Rosie and Alex have been best friends since they were 5, so they couldn’t possibly be right for one another…or could they? When it comes to love, life and making the right choices, these two are their own worst enemies. Click title for story

‘THE BIRDS’

BBC TO TURN ‘THE BIRDS’
INTO A NEW TV DRAMA!
This has not been officially confirmed yet, but, as ‘Digital Spy’ reports today, BBC is planning on turning famous THE BIRDS novel byDaphne du Maurier into a TV movie. Unlike the famous Hitchcock’s classic movie, this one will be true to the novel with the action being set in British Cornwall! The new television adaptation will be set in picturesque rural Cornwall, where a farmhand and his community is being terrorised by flocks of birds and seagulls shortly after the end of the Second World War.
