The Royal Wedding. Period Times Never Die in London.

Big hats, elegant dresses, carriages and horses, big palaces and bells, charming and chivalric men in breath taking costumes. When we watched the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Katherine; the dream bride, we were taken back to the age of elegance and sophistication. Watching the Royal Wedding was like watching a romantic and fairytale like period drama in which the heroine and hero are real life princess and prince.

Katherine Middleton shined in her white bridal dress designed by Sarah Burton. Her beautiful face was covered by a shiny transparent veil. She turned around for one last wave for the devoted crowds just before she entered the church then took her father’s hand again and they walked inside slowly and gracefully. Kate turned heads as she took the walk down the aisle alongside her loving and utterly proud father. Prince William stood there in his Formal British Army Uniform waiting for his bride to arrive and stand by his side. She took her position that isn’t only a position in this ceremony but for the rest of her life.

As Kate approached the groom, Prince Harry stole a quick glance at the bride and whispered something to his brother with a shiny smile on his face. Everyone must be wondering what exactly was it that Prince Harry told Prince William at that life changing moment. What was obvious to us as viewers was not only the romantic love between the bride and groom but also the strong brotherly affection between the two princes.

Love was obvious in the bride and groom’s eyes as they exchanged small talks and sweet smiles before the actual ceremony started and as they stood at the balcony proudly and happily greeting the excited and loving crowd all around, one short kiss was not enough; it was followed by another sweet, yet even longer and more passionate kiss.

We wish the bride and groom a healthy, long, happy and prosperous life together filled with even more extravagant events and hopefully lots and lots of beautiful children.

  2. Thanks Nina. I’m glad you enjoyed it. It was a beautiful day indeed and VERY FUN. I’m very happy to have seen it Live on T.V but it would have been better if I was actually there in London ^_^

  3. Very nice, Hanna! Yes, they seem to be in love, at least, much more than Charles and Diana were. We now know that was a sham. I think this is not and wish them a very happy marriage!
